MARIANNA H. SUGDEN

Marianna H. Sugden 96, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Azalealand Nursing Home.
Mrs. Sugden was a native of Gainesville, Florida and was raised in Augusta, Georgia. Mrs. Sugden was a longtime resident of Savannah. She taught second grade at the Isle of Hope School for many years and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Sugden was preceded in death by her husband Harry Sugden Sr.

Surviving are her sons, Harry Sugden Jr. and wife Sandra S. of Doylestown, Pa., and Kenneth P. Sugden and wife Dorothy A.of Winston Salem, NC. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Kenneth Sugden of Winston Salem, NC and Paul Sugden of Hampton
Va.

Graveside Services will be Friday, May 23, 2008 at 12 noon in Bonaventure Cemetery with Reverend Craig O'Brien officiating.

Mrs. Sugden was my second grade teacher at Isle of Hope Elementary. I became a perfect speller and an avid reader because of her teaching techniques. She was a wonderful lady.
